Recognize it

What it can look like

  • Losing interest in things you used to love
  • Exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix
  • Guilt or worthlessness far out of proportion to anything you've done
  • Brain fog, slowed thinking, decisions that feel impossible
  • Irritability, often the loudest symptom in teens and men
  • In seniors: withdrawal and fatigue too easily dismissed as "just aging"
Our approach

How we treat it at New Hope

Evaluation comes first, including attention to medical look-alikes. Thyroid issues, sleep disorders, and medication effects can all wear depression's face, so we coordinate with your primary care provider where it matters. Then we build the plan: therapy, medication, or both, tended in regular follow-ups until the weight actually lifts, not just lightens.

If you are having thoughts of suicide, please don't wait: call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) now, or call 911.

Depression tells you nothing will help. It is a symptom, not a fact.

Treatment is how we prove it wrong. Start with a free 15-minute conversation.
