Recognize it
What it can look like
- A mind that races hardest right when you need rest
- Dread that arrives without a clear reason
- A tight chest, a restless stomach, shoulders that never quite drop
- Panic that shows up out of nowhere and leaves you afraid of the next one
- Avoiding things you used to do without thinking
- In children and teens: stomachaches, school refusal, meltdowns, and endless reassurance-seeking
Our approach
How we treat it at New Hope
We start with a comprehensive evaluation, because anxiety loves to travel with company. Depression, ADHD, and sleep problems often ride along, and the plan changes depending on who showed up. From there: CBT to unhook the worry loop, well-studied medication options when appropriate (explained in plain language before anything is prescribed), and steady follow-up while your nervous system relearns what safe feels like.
Anxiety is one of the most treatable conditions we see.
The worry that feels permanent almost never is. Start with a free 15-minute conversation.
